— Margaret R., TorontoCanadians and Americans deserve better options.
Median wait for orthopedic surgery
In some provinces, more than a year. Living with chronic joint pain that long isn't a healthcare choice — it's a sentence.
Average cost of a knee replacement
Hip replacements often exceed $60,000. Even with insurance, deductibles and copays leave most patients paying tens of thousands out of pocket.
The same procedure, lower cost
Private Mexican hospitals routinely treat international patients. Many surgeons trained in the US or Europe. Lower cost doesn't mean lower quality.
Four steps. We handle the complexity.

We know "Mexico" raises questions. Honest answers.
Private accredited hospitals. Modern infrastructure.
Every facility we use has full ICU capability, 24/7 nursing, and the same operating-room standards you'd expect at home.
Why Chihuahua?
A major Mexican city with modern private hospitals serving Mexicans, US expats, and international patients for decades. Short flights from Dallas, Houston, and Phoenix. Co-founder Oscar is from Chihuahua and has years of local relationships.
How are surgeons vetted?
Every surgeon is board-certified with verified Mexican medical credentials, specialty certifications, and significant operating experience. Many have additional US or European training. You see their full credentials before committing.
Where do surgeries happen?
At private, fully accredited Mexican hospitals — never in standalone clinics. Modern operating rooms, ICU capability, certified anesthesia equipment, and 24/7 nursing care.
What about safety in the city?
Chihuahua city is a normal place where 900,000 people live, work, and raise families. The neighborhoods we use for hospitals, hotels, and patient transport are safe and routinely used by international visitors. Your driver and coordinator stay with you.
Who's responsible if something goes wrong?
Honest answer: as a medical facilitator, SSA is not the medical provider — your surgeon and hospital are. We coordinate, advocate, and stay with you. Surgeons carry medical liability insurance. We can arrange separate medical travel insurance.
Do you support post-op care?
Yes. Two video consultations with your surgeon after you return home. If a complication arises, we help coordinate with your local doctor. Returning to Mexico for revision (if needed) is also handled through us.
You don't have to pay all at once.
Flexible payment options for both Canadian and US patients. Choose what works for your budget.

Apply through our partner and split your treatment cost into affordable monthly payments. Loans from $500 to $40,000 CAD. Terms up to 72 months. Interest rates as low as 7.95%. Soft credit check first — won't affect your credit score.
Healthcare financing
We work with US-based medical financing partners offering flexible terms. Ask us during your call and we'll match you with the right option for your situation and credit profile.
Wire, transfer, or card
Wire transfer, bank transfer, or credit card (3% processing fee). USD and CAD accepted. First payment after your quote is accepted. Balance due before admission.
Honest answers to the real questions.
For private hospital care in major cities like Chihuahua, Mexico has a strong reputation. Many Mexican surgeons trained in the US or Europe. The private hospitals we use have modern equipment, ICU capability, and 24/7 nursing — the same standard you'd expect at home.
The hospital is a full hospital, not a clinic — it has emergency response, ICU, and the full team you'd want if a complication occurred. Your surgeon carries medical liability insurance. We're with you the entire time.
We provide two post-op video consultations with your surgeon. If a complication develops after you return home, we coordinate with your surgeon and help you find appropriate local follow-up care. Returning to Mexico for revision surgery (if needed) is also coordinated through us.
Yes. Our co-founders are bilingual. Your in-country coordinator is bilingual. The surgeons we partner with speak English. The hospital nursing staff speaks at least basic medical English.
Depends on the procedure. Most knee and hip replacements: 7–10 days. Most dental cases: 3–5 days. We'll give you an exact stay length in your quote.
Yes — and we strongly recommend it. We help arrange travel, accommodation, and a place for them to stay near the hospital. Our travel package can be priced for two people.
Full refund if you cancel 7+ days before your surgery date. 20% fee if you cancel 3–6 days before. 30% fee within 48 hours. Medical reasons with documentation: refund handled case by case.
Some private insurance plans cover care abroad — most don't. Check with your insurer before booking. Travel medical insurance for the trip itself is separate and we can help arrange it.
Not at launch. We're focused on orthopedic and dental care. We may add other specialties later.
Yes. We provide your complete surgical report, imaging, discharge summary, and medication list. Your local doctor will have everything they need for follow-up.
